Brian TangBrian Tang is an associate carillonist at the University of California, Berkeley. He studied carillon with Jeff Davis and Geert D’hollander. Since becoming a Carillonneur member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 2010, he has given recitals in Illinois and Massachusetts, including an appearance at the 2013 International Carillon Festival in Springfield. His goals as a carillonneur are to share underappreciated music and to contribute to the development of the carillon as a concert instrument. This year, Brian Tang tied for first place in the Queen Fabiola International Carillon Competition, the most prestigious carillon competition in history.
